Youngsters enjoyed plenty of fun with robots at an annual summer holiday club in Felixstowe.

Around 40 children enjoyed a week filled with a wide variety of activities at Seaton Road Methodist Church as they took part in the Razzamatazz Robots event.

Volunteers from the church in Seaton Road led the packed daily programme – which included stories, songs, games, challenges, memory verses, crafts, drama with the Watt Family, as well as a visit from two puppet rat friends, Ratty and Stinky.

The activities centred on the club’s theme of looking at the world from creation to re-creation.

The holiday club has become a firm fixture in Felixstowe’s calendar, eagerly looked forward to by youngsters aged five to 11, and proved just as popular as ever.

It followed last year’s successful Jungle Jamboree and the previous year’s Going for Gold, which reflected the national Olympic excitement.

Razzamatazz Robots, organised by the Methodist Churches in the Felixstowe area, is being repeated at Trinity Methodist Church in Felixstowe this week, running until Friday.

The clubs are an important outreach event for the Methodist Church in Felixstowe and one of the spin-offs is a Kids’ Bible Club held at Seaton Road Methodist Church on the first Tuesday of each month from 6pm to 7.15pm.

It is run like a mini holiday club with songs, stories, crafts and games – including visits from puppets Ratty and Stinky – for children of primary school age. For more information about the club call Liz on 01394 282023.
