A pop-up elf workshop in a town centre shopping centre got people into the Christmas spirit over the weekend.

Youngsters who visited the Do It Your Elf unit in Tower Ramparts were transformed into Santa’s little helpers while creating their own festive decorations.

Centre manager Mike Sorhaindo said: “We had loads of kids down who seem to have been really enjoying themselves and working hard with our three elves Andy Elf, Festive Fix-it and Bauble Bling.

“They had to start off with a very strict elf and safety briefing obviously but after that each child is armed with their own colourful bucket and ball that they tip into our Christmas Tree Contraption, which is a bit like a giant marble maze.

“It then whirls and swirls through the machine and pings out at the bottom ready to be decorated by the child with sparkles, feathers and whatever else they choose.”
