CONGRATULATIONS to our A star-studded record breakers!
Screams of joy and relief echoed along the corridors of Suffolk's schools today as our students celebrated unprecedented GCSE success.
Experts are already predicting that this year's dazzling results will be the best ever seen in the county.
Teachers were left dumbfounded as the magnitude of students' achievements began to emerge.
There was a tinge of sadness at one Ipswich school, however - tragic A14 crash victim Sian Ryan would have collected her grades from Copleston High this morning.
Meanwhile, at Northgate, retiring headteacher Neil Watts was given the perfect send-off as his pupils achieved stunning results.
Mr Watts said: “The records haven't just been broken, they have been shattered.”
