Georgina tops the sundae league

IMAGINE having an ice cream created in your honour – what an accolade.

A mountain of ice cream, topped with all your favourite goodies, such as nuts, fruit, toffee, syrup and fresh cream – yum yum!

Well, one of my colleagues, of the female variety I must hasten, has somehow managed to get her own special ice cream sundae named after her!

Well I'm not usually the jealous type but I can't help thinking she used her feminine charms and her big brown eyes to get this ultimate privilege.

Nobody's ever named an ice cream named after me. I can't for the life of me understand why!

The thought of having Tacket's Tangy Tongue Tingling Tasty Treat from the menu is enough to send shivers down anyone's spine and get their mouth watering. I'm sure it would become a real favourite and a best seller.

Failing that, how about getting your tongue on some Lively, Loyal and Local ice cream to wet your appetite – what flavour would that be?

Well the lucky young lady in question, Georgina, has insisted she in no way prompted the idea.

Can't say I actually believe her!

She assures me that when the owner of Joe Crowley's, of Hamilton Road, Felixstowe, told her he was going to create her a special sundae she thought he meant as a one-off treat.

"I was extremely flattered," she told me with a rye glee in her eye.

Well I have been doing some digging, the stuff us journalists are good at, and can exclusively reveal that Joe Crowley has created an ice cream sundae which he feels is wickedly tempting, just like the lady in question!

"It's the best sundae I've ever created and I have invented many.

"I was looking for a new sundae and Georgina inspired me.

"Her name sings and she has an Italian look to her and with Italy being the home of ice cream I thought the two were a perfect recipe and complimented one another," said Joe.

Anyway, Tacket has been reliably informed that this devilishly tempting concoction is as good as………well I think I'd best leave that to your imagination!

So, if you fancy trying 'Georgina's Temptation' – A blend of vanilla and cappuccino ice cream served with Italian Rum Baba's, drizzled with a secret syrup and topped with fresh cream, sugar curls and waffles, then you'd better head off to Felixstowe.

However like Georgina, it's expensive and the priciest sundae on the menu.

Creator, Joe Crowley said: "It's desirable, delicious and damn good and worth every penny."
