Ipswich fans searching for an anthem to fill the terraces and match the likes of You'll Never walk Alone at Liverpool are today putting pen to paper.
The Evening Star challenged our readers to write chants for the Blues.
Singing The Blues is played before every home game and is partially adopted, but Sheffield Wednesday supporters were chanting it at Hillsborough years before Town.
North Stand season ticket holder Malcolm Thompson last year got the old Ipswich anthem “Come on the Town” rerecorded on CD in an attempt to revive it at Portman Road.
But the song has been all but consigned to the history books, with young fans unsure of the words and melody.

But now fans are coming up with new ideas - including Mark Ling, of Finborough Close, Ipswich, who has written a chant to the catchy tune of the Sugababes' hit About You Now, and Dale Phillips who has penned new words to the tune of Petula Clark's Downtown.
Suggestions from other readers include Thin Lizzy's “The Boys Are Back In Town,” Free's “All Right Now” and Steppenwolf's “Born To Be Wild.”
Liverpool's renditions of You'll Never Walk Alone at Anfield have become legendary, like I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles at West Ham and Blue Moon at Manchester City. Now it is Town's turn.
Can you come up with a chant for the Town? Write to Sports Desk, Evening star, 30 Lower Brook Street, Ipswich IP4 1AN or email starsport@eveningstar.co.uk. Please include your full name and address.
We will bring yesterday back around
Champions, FA Cup, UEFA Crown
Sir Bobby and Sir Alf they made us proud
We're in blue, we're beating you, we're Ipswich Town
We're in blue, we're beating you

When your alone you can make Ipswich your home and you can always go (clap, clap, clap, clap) Up Town!
See super Jim's boys we will be making the noise and you can always go (clap, clap, clap, clap) Up Town!
Just listen to the North Stand as the Town thrash the city, down at Portman Road where Norwich get no pity,
Now can you see (clap, clap) the stars are much brighter there you can forget all your worries forget all your cares
And go Up Town! Alan's about to score, Up Town! we're going up for sure, Up Town! the Blue Army's waiting for you-ooh
Going Up Town! going Up Town! going Up Town! going Up Town!
Dale Phillips.
Town fan for over 30 years
Try take the tractor from the blue
It's something you could never do
The championship that we must win
To take that step and then begin
Chorus: Bobby led us all the way
And that was way back in the day
Pass and move is how to play
His name will never fade away
Forward onward rising up
Perhaps well win the FA cup
That special cup that once we raised
Roger Osborne then we praised
Chorus
I watch my son begin to walk
Its time to have that football talk
A tractor boy you'll always be
To learn to kick then ABCs
Chorus
To hold aloft some silverware
And reign again that's our prayer
Bring it home you know we can
All the best your faithful fan
