IPSWICH: Pupils have been getting in the Christmas spirit already after joining forces with Ipswich Town Football Club to launch a charity fun run.

ITFC players welcomed pupils from Halifax Primary School in Ipswich as they launched the town's Santa run.

The annual 3km run, which is set to take place on Sunday December 13, raises vital money for East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH).

EACH provides care and support for children who have life-limiting illnesses and their families in their own homes, as well as at the charity's hospice in Ipswich.

Karen Chesney, EACH events fundraiser, said: “Santa runs are a great way to have fun and raise vital funds for EACH, we hope as many people as possible sign up for the event.

“It's great to know we have the support of Ipswich Town Football Club to encourage people to sign up what will be a fun and worthwhile event.”

The Ipswich Santa Run takes place at 11am, starting and finishing at Christchurch Park.

Adult entry is 10 and 5 for children under 13-years-old. If you already own a Santa suit you can enter the run for a reduced price. For more information visit www.each.org.uk.
