AN Ipswich girl has been left broken hearted after her doll's pram was stolen.

Rachael Cargill had been playing with the toy and had left is outside her front door when she went inside for tea.

The seven-year-old's mother said: "My daughter is really upset. It was her first doll's pram and her pride and joy. I can't believe that someone would steal a child's toy. I am just grateful that Rachael hadn't left the doll in the pram."

The youngster received the pram for her 7th birthday.

Her mother explained that she has two other children and could not afford to buy all three of them prams for Christmas.

"Now Rachel hasn't got one and when she sees her sisters playing with theirs she starts to cry," said her mother.

The family, who live in south Ipswich, did not notice that the pram had been stolen until the following morning, New Year's Day.

Rachael's mother explained that it was quite normal for children living near her to leave their toys outside their front door, as visitors could not enter the building without a resident letting them in.

The pram cost £30 and is lemon yellow with blue and green patterned teddies and squares on it and can be converted into a car seat, a shoulder carrier and a changing mat.

Rachael also lost some make-up and a make-up bag together with a range of doll's clothes which she got for Christmas which were in the pram when it was stolen.
