A NINE-year-old girl is fighting for her life after a car went into an icy Fenland drain.
A NINE-year-old girl is fighting for her life after a car went into an icy Fenland drain this afternoon.
Paramedics worked to save the girl after police dived into the Sixteen Foot near Bedlam Bridge to rescue her at around 3.40pm.
The driver of the car, believed to be the girl's mother, got safely ashore.
Fire crews from March, Huntingdon and Dogsthorpe were at the scene along with the police helicopter. A ladder was extended down the bank to the partly submerged car.
Emergency services began leaving the scene at around 5pm.
