Julie Baker is participating in the UK Glamour Girl of the Year 2009 competition, which raises money for a series of worthy causes.
The 26-year-old is calling on the public to vote for her - and in doing so, donate cash to charities including Macmillan Cancer Care and Stroke Care.
She said: “I want to raise money for charity - I am a student nurse and feel very strongly about raising as much as I can.”
Julie, of Heath Lane, Ipswich, is originally from Glasgow. She is competing in the Midlands section of the competition and is currently ranked number one.
Voting continued until mid July, at which point the semi finalists will be selected. The final will consist of 12 women, all of whom will feature in a special calendar.
To vote for Julie, text GLAM 1624 to 88010.
