BUSINESSES in the Felixstowe area are being encouraged to go green and recycle their old ink cartridges to help Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Computing Needs has teamed up with the charity to provide special recycling bins to firms - with every ink jet cartridge, toner and ribbon raising £1 and old unwanted mobile phones £3.50.
Penny Parker, who works for the company in Manor Road, Felixstowe, and also as a volunteer fundraiser for the guide dogs charity, said: “I have given out 32 bins of the 50 we have already - the uptake has been really good, and we have just ordered another 50.
“It's a perfect opportunity for companies wanting to become greener.
“We will deliver the bins and empty them and would love as many people as possible to have one, or more, in their offices.”
Any companies which would like one of the recycling bins should contact Computing Needs on 01394 278067.
