IPSWICH businesses are preparing to green.
That is the message today as Ipswich Central gets ready for its Go Green Extravaganza.
From 11am to 4pm on Sunday businesses from the area will be showcasing their environmentally-friendly and locally sourced products to encourage visitors to become a little bit greener.
Paul Clement, executive director of Ipswich Central, said: “It is going to be an amazing day to visit Ipswich town centre.
“Visitors can learn more about everything from composting and organic vegetable boxes through to eco-friendly transport and fair trade produce.
“It is fantastic to see so many local businesses get behind the campaign to make Ipswich the greenest town in Suffolk.”
During the day there will be information about eco-transport, and an opportunity to taste some local food and fair trade drinks and to claim a free reusable shopping bag.
Children can also take part in green craft workshops where they can make everything from finger puppets to windmills from recycled materials.
