DON and Betty Rush celebrated their golden wedding with a party at the Needham Market Community Centre with friends and family.

Around 120 guests joined the couple to celebrate their 50 year achievement and guests were asked to make a donation to the St Elizabeth Hospice instead of giving presents.

The couple, who live in Burton Drive, Needham Market, celebrated in style on September 21 and more than £600 was raised for charity.

During the evening a display of ballroom and Latin American dancing was performed by four eight-year-old pupils from Ipswich School of Dancing, who are taught by Rosemary Watson.
