FIREFIGHTERS are today continuing to tackle a grass fire which has been ongoing for two days.The fire, stretching across one and a half acres of grassland at the Thorpeness Golf Club, started on Wednesday at 7am and has not yet been fully extinguished.
FIREFIGHTERS are today continuing to tackle a grass fire which has been ongoing for two days.
The fire, stretching across one and a half acres of grassland at the Thorpeness Golf Club, started on Wednesday at 7am and has not yet been fully extinguished.
Teams of firefighters from across the area have remained at the scene throughout the blaze, which has been made worse by the very dry ground.
A spokeswoman at the golf club said the fire was near the 15th hole but is under control. The course has remained open.
