TV SOAP star Julie Peasgood is about to take a break in Suffolk.
The Hollyoaks and Emmerdale actress returns to our screens next week in her other role as travel show presenter, hosting Anglia TV's series Great Little Breaks at 7.30pm on Tuesday.
During the series she and her co-presenters, Sophie Allisstone and Simon Brant, will be looking at ideas for short breaks, holidays and leisure activities in the region.
Among the activity ideas are cookery courses at Hintlesham Hall near Ipswich and a taste of canal restoration near Stowmarket, while holidays in Lowestoft also take the spotlight.
"I'm always amazed at how many lovely places there are in England that I don't know about at all or have only glimpsed," said Julie, who has just completed a stint in Hollyoaks as dizzy mum Jacqui and was previously a regular in Emmerdale and Brookside.
"I love visiting the East of England – it reminds me what a fantastic country we live in."
The opening programme sees Julie visiting Southend-on-Sea while Sophie rides the Nene Valley steam railway in Peterborough.
This year's series will also spread its wings to overseas destinations accessible from local airports and ports, starting with a flight to Copenhagen from Stansted.
