Police are investigating after a group of children reported being approached by two men in a black van in Brantham.

Officers are appealing for information following the incident, which happened around 6.30pm on Sunday at Palfrey Heights in the Suffolk village.

Suffolk police said the men attempted conversation with the children, who ran away from the scene.

The van then left Palfrey Heights, which is near a primary school, and drove away at speed.

The incident has been shared on social media, with a warning that people in the area should remain vigilant.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the offence to contact them on 101, quoting incident 293 of Sunday, September 30.
