SUFFOLK was expected to be windy and raining today, sparking fears gusts of 40mph could cause problems on the roads.
The Evening Star's weather guru, Ken Blowers, said the high winds which have blown through the county in the past few days would continue today and get even stronger tomorrow.
Mr Blowers said: “It is not unusual to have wind and rain at this time of year.
“Tomorrow it is going to be worse with more rain coming in from the Atlantic.
“In early December there can be two things, wind and rain or cold, fog and ice. That is the choice we always have.”
But although the rain and wind is normal for this time of year Mr Blowers added that unseasonably high temperatures were out of the ordinary.
He added: “Last night the temperature was 55F (13C) and normally during the day temperatures are 44F (7C).
“This is absolutely not what we would expect.
“It will stay warm tomorrow but the temperature will drop on Friday.”
