Half term sport to bowl you over

IPSWICH Council's Sports is organising a number of activities for youngsters during the October half term holidays.

The activities cater for girls and boys and include Netball, Cricket, Rugby, Badminton, Basketball, Tennis and Table Tennis.

The activities cater for girls and boys and include Netball, Cricket, Rugby, Badminton, Basketball, Tennis and Table Tennis.

The Netball includes two courses, 'Netball Beginners' targeted at 7-11 year olds and 'Netball Improvers' targeted at 11-14 year olds.

There are four Cricket courses being held at Ipswich School Sports Centre led by experienced ECB coaches.

Tag Rugby is also spilt into groups with two categories, 'Rugby Rascals' and 'Rugby Beginners'.

The Badminton course has the same format as the Tag Rugby, there is two sessions 'Rascals' and 'Beginners' and is led by National Development Coach, Ray Learney.

'Basketball Beginners' targets 7-11 year olds and 'Basketball Improvers' targets 11-14year olds.

The Table Tennis course targets 9-14 year olds and is led by English Table Tennis Association coach Phil Watts assisted by George Earle.

A tennis taster session has been organised in conjunction with the Ipswich Community Tennis Partnership and targets 8-16 year olds.
