A party was held to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee at the Sue Ryder Care Centre in Chantry.

Around thirty guests were invited including residential and day-care patients. The courtyard was decorated with colourful balloons and bunting and the guests, adorned in glittering hats and waving Union flags, enjoyed a plentiful barbecue outside in the warm weather on Friday.

Entertainment was provided by the Co-op ladies choir - although the England v Argentina football match was shown in the conservatory for those who just could not bare to miss out.

The activities organiser, Jenny Taylor said: "a lovely day was had by all," and resident Beryl Pryke described the event as "a day to remember".
