The owners of a one-year-old miniature Dachshund have been frantically searching for her since she ran off on a walk on Saturday.

Little Penny went missing at around 4pm, while she was being walked by a family friend in Grimston Lane, Trimley St Martin near Felixstowe.

Owner Shaun Kemp, 49, from Manningtree, says Penny has never gone missing before. He believes she saw a big dog which scared her and made her run off.

Mr Kemp told this newspaper that a farmer had seen Penny running across the train track in Trimley St Martin at 6am Monday morning.

Unfortunately this was the last reported sight of Penny.

Mr Kemp said the next move for the search is to use a thermal image camera.

The family have returned to where Penny was last seen everyday since Saturday.

They have also posted all over social media about Penny’s disappearance in the hope that someone may have seen something.
