Head's tribute to fire victim boy

HEADTEACHER Shelagh Cohen today paid a heartfelt tribute to blaze victim Anton Fox.She spoke of him as a child who had always been willing to help and said he would be greatly missed by staff and pupils at Handford Hall Primary, in Ipswich, when school starts again next week.

She spoke of him as a child who had always been willing to help and said he would be greatly missed by staff and pupils at Handford Hall Primary, in Ipswich, when school starts again next week.

Everybody at the school shares in the deep sense of shock felt at the death of the much-loved seven-year-old boy.

"Anton was a lovely boy who was extremely well liked in our school," said Ms Cohen.

"He had been with Handford Hall Primary from nursery age and was a great character with a lively sense of humour."

The headteacher said: "Anton also contributed to the school and would volunteer to help teachers even if it meant giving up his play time. He will be greatly missed by pupils and teachers.

"Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are with Anton's family at this time."
