HEADTEACHER David Stewart has spoken of his disappointment after thieves broke into the building and stole more than £2,000 worth of equipment.
David Stewart from Beacon Hill school, in Stone Lodge Lane West, Ipswich, urged anyone with information to call police to help recover the items - which include laptop computers and a digital camera.
Damage was also caused to six windows during the break-in, which happened on Monday between 3.20am and 3.55am.
Mr Stewart said: “This is a community that welcomes us and supports us and it is such a shame that there is a little bit of this creeping in.
“It's just very distressing. People come here and they feel safe - no one here does any harm to anyone but yet people think it's OK to come onto our site and cause thousands of pounds worth of damage.
“If adults in the community are aware of any of this equipment being offered then I would ask them to please let us or the police know because we don't have a fortune to spend on kids' resources.

“We do so much for the community and they do so much for us. We've got a lovely building and tremendous staff and whatever money we have left over we use to buy things but it's expensive.”
The items - thought to be worth more than £2,200 - included a Sony Cyber Shot digital camera, four Dell laptops and cash.
