Drivers heading west out of Suffolk have faced severe delays following an accident in Cambridgeshire.
Police said a lorry driver was killed in the crash.
The A14 was closed for a while, as was the M11.
The westbound carriageway remains closed near Girton.
An ambulance spokesman said the service had received reports of heavy traffic around Newmarket.
