Four people have been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on the A14 today.

A Toyota Yaris and a Audi A4 collided on the westbound carriageway between Trimley St Martin and Seven Hills around 3.30pm. One car rolled onto its side during the crash.

An ambulance spokesman said everyone managed to free themselves from their vehicle before the arrival of the emergency services.

Four people were taken to Ipswich Hospital with minor injuries, the ambulance spokesman added.

The fire service also attended the scene.

There is heavy traffic on the road as a result of the crash, which has been made worse by a broken down vehicle nearby.

The East of England Ambulance Service sent two rapid response vehicles and an ambulance crew to the scene.
