A GROUP of trainee childcare students from Suffolk have been fundraising for the NSPCC – by looking after an egg. After seeing the charity's hard-hitting television advert about violence towards children, five students at West Suffolk College, Bury St Edmunds, were inspired to show how fragile things really are – and do their bit to raise money for the childrens' charity.
Their lecturer Pam Ralph said that the girls had to keep the eggs with them wherever they went – even if it was on a night out to a club!
Alternatively they could also get someone to "eggsit" for them.
The girls – who included Amy Hayward from Needham Market and Emma Lusher from Haughley – expect to raise at least £200.
Anyone wishing to donate to the NSPCC can call the local branch on 01473 218708.
