NICHOLAS Mower who was caught with drugs after he was made redundant could get help with his drug dependency.
Mower, 26, of Stowmarket Road, Old Newton, was caught after he ran from police on foot patrol in Felixstowe.
Police caught up with him and he was found with a £9 wrap of heroin and a £5 lump of cannabis resin, prosecutor Patricia Doggitt, told South East Suffolk magistrates.
Mower, who represented himself, told magistrates, he was feeling "low and depressed" after he had just been made redundant from his job delivering pine furniture.
"I thought I'd go and get something to make myself feel a bit better," he said.
Feeling scared he ran from police who caught up with him and he admitted possession in court.
Bench chairman Bernard Hines ordered sentencing to be adjourned until November 26 so Mower could be assessed for a drug treatment and testing order.
