EACH day an Ipswich taxi driver has to live with the haunting memory of seeing Scott Towler and Dean Bloomfield killed.

Today, eyewitness Fred Day told how he and his family watched helplessly as Zulfcar Ali's car careered into the Ipswich teenagers in Fore Hamlet.

Speaking publicly for the first time, Mr Day said: "The car went up on to the pavement between a lamppost and a shop.

"The children were directly in front of him. The two boys had no chance. He hit the children, who were doing their level best to protect themselves, head on."
