HIGH winds today may cause Operation Stack to be enforced at the Port of Felixstowe.
Operation Stack is traffic management system which deals container vehicles that cannot access the port when it is closed due to high winds. The vehicles are queued up on the old A45 at Levington instead of causing jams on the A14.
Bad weather and strong winds yesterday meant the operation was enacted from 1.45pm until 6pm.
