Ipswich Transport Museum’s historic 53-year-old double decker will be back on the roads today giving people the chance to see behind the scenes at some of the town’s best-known buildings.

It is taking part in the Heritage Open Day weekend providing a link between the town centre and Broomhill Pool between 10.30am and 3pm.

The weekend is co-ordinated by the Ipswich Society and supported by the Borough with the aim of encouraging residents and visitors to explore some of the town’s treasures.

On both days you can enjoy a free guided walk. The 90-minute walks leave the Tourist Information Centre at St Stephen’s Church at 10.30am.

Historic tours of Ipswich Cemetery on Saturday will give you the opportunity to find out about some of the famous people buried in Ipswich . These free tours take place at 11.30am and 1.30pm.
