A FORMER retained firefighter has been sentenced to a 12-month conditional discharge after making hoax calls for non-existent fires.
Michael Ford, 33, of Seaman Avenue, Saxmundham, appeared before Lowestoft Magistrates' court today after making three hoax calls.
Ford, who admitted the offences, was not ordered to pay any compensation or costs.
