Hockey stick-wielding attacker sought
POLICE are seeking witnesses today after a man was mugged with a hockey stick as he walked along a busy stretch of road in Ipswich.The 38-year-old was hit from behind with the stick as he walked along Norwich Road near to Granville Street at around 7.

The 38-year-old was hit from behind with the stick as he walked along Norwich Road near to Granville Street at around 7.45pm on Friday.
A group of four men were involved in the attack and one of them went through the man's pockets and grabbed his wallet.
Cash was taken before one of the men threw the wallet back at him and hit the victim around the head in the attack.
The man managed to get away from the gang and find help and was later taken to the Ipswich Hospital to be treated for a cut head.
One of the men was described as black in his mid 30's and around 5ft 10ins tall of a medium build and short hair.

The other attacker was also black, around the same age with thin shoulder length dreadlocks.
Another two men who were with them were also black, but there is no other description.
Detectives from Suffolk Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident.
