Two fire engines were sent to put out a fire near the Royal Hospital School early today.
The incident was reported at 2.38am with one crew being sent from Holbrook and a second from Princes Street.
They found a fire in the boiler in the kitchen of a two-storey semi-detached property and used one hose reel to put it out, whilst wearing breathing apparatus.
The fire was extinguished by 3.50am.
