WORK will begin to fix an underground cable in Hadleigh today after thousands of homes were left without power when a fault disrupted electricity supply to the area.
More than 1,300 homes in the Hadleigh area were affected by the power cut, which occurred shortly before 5.30pm.
The majority of homes were reconnected using an alternative power supply by 7.30pm.
A spokeswoman for 24seven said a fault had been found at Stonehouse Road near the junction with George Street.
