Hospice benefits from store’s fundraising

FELIXSTOWE: Staff and customers at the Co-op supermarket in Felixstowe have raised nearly 1,000 for St Elizabeth Hospice.

Staff at the store in Hamilton Road decided to raise money for the charity throughout December with donation buckets at the tills and a fancy dress day for employees on Christmas Eve.

They handed 920 to the hospice in Ipswich.

Belinda Pendle, a supervisor at the Co-op store, said: “The staff agreed that St Elizabeth Hospice was a good cause and they would like to support it as it plays such an important part in the community.”

Janice Hulett, corporate and community fundraising manager for the hospice, thanked all the staff and customers who supported the fundraising initiative.”
