The hoardings around a new Joules store under construction in Ipswich have come away, revealing the brand’s trademark yellow facade.
The shop in Butter Market, which was previously run by Regatta, is expected to reopen under the upmarket retailer on June 1 from 9.30am.
To celebrate the opening of the new store, Joules will be offering ‘early bird’ queue prizes for the first shoppers to visit, including a £200 voucher for the first customer.
The following 10 customers will receive £100 gift cards and the next 10 will each receive £50 gift cards.
Every customer through the door on the day of opening will also receive 15% off any purchase made between June 1-4.
Tom Joule, founder of Joules, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening a new Joules store in Ipswich.
“We are really looking forward to bringing our unique personality and style to shoppers over the coming months.
“The new store will create 10 new jobs, which is great news too.”
Joules’ arrival follows in the footsteps of similar high-end label Jack Wills in Tavern Street last year, and adds to a collection of several other newcomers in the town centre.
After Joules announced plans to move into the high street in February, Paul Clement, chief executive of Ipswich Central, the town’s Business Improvement District, said: “It is a quality brand. It is a brand the town has missed.
“I’m not surprised they are going into the Butter Market area. It seems indicative of their retail offering. I think it is very good news for the town.”
Joules already has a ‘beside the seaside’ concept store in Southwold.
