Fire crews were called to the Days Inn hotel, at Pheonix Road, Haverhill, after the county's strong winds caused severe damage to the building at about 5pm yesterday .
Firefighters were put on stand-by but no one is believed to have been hurt in the incident.
At 7.25pm, an ambulance crew went to the A1101 at Lackford where a tree had hit the roof of a car.
An injured man was taken to West Suffolk Hospital.
