HOUSE prices in East Anglia are set to soar by at least 20 per cent this year and there will be further rises next year, experts have predicted.

Property values in Suffolk and Essex increased again in June, by 2pc and 2.1pc respectively, and the region now has the third highest average house price outside Greater London.

The average house in East Anglia now costs £117,000, according to the Hometrack study. In Suffolk, the figure is £107,600, while in Essex the average house price is £144,100.
