The state of Suffolk’s schools has been a hot political topic in the county for several years – the county is near the bottom of national league tables.
But most of those who responded to our Ipswich town survey were satisfied with Ipswich schools. Two thirds said the choice ranged between excellent and acceptable – only 11% said the choice was poor or very poor with the remainder having no experience of the town’s schools.
There were similar figures for the quality of teaching in the town’s schools – and for the quality of post-16 teaching in the town.
