Hundreds of people enjoyed a sunny afternoon of colourful floats, displays and activities at this year’s Trimley Carnival.
The theme for this year’s event was ‘Country Fair’ and a number of floats took part in the procession, which started at Faulkeners Way at 1pm and made its way along High Road before ending at Trimley Sports and Social Club.
Children enjoyed stalls, crafts, face-painting, inflatables, a rodeo bull and a Punch and Judy show.
There were also a variety of displays throughout the afternoon, with spectators treated to karate and majorette performances.
Nick McSweeney, of the social club organising committee, said: “We were really pleased with how it went.
“The weather was boiling hot and we’ve got some sunburnt committee members now. This is the first year the social club has formally run the event, and it went exactly how we wanted it to go.
“I would say between 500 and 1,000 people attended throughout the day.”
