POLICE are today continuing to comb the Chantry Estate for clues to the masked attacker who forced his way into a woman's home in broad daylight and raped her.
Door to door enquiries over the weekend provoked a "limited response". Police have issued a description of the rapist who wore a Balaclava during the attack, hoping to jog memories.
Officers will spend the day talking to pupils at the nearby Chantry School, who may have seen the attacker flee the scene at lunchtime on Friday .
They have also called on builders who recently worked in the Pelican Close area to come forward.
Meanwhile neighbours of the 20-year-old victim have spoken out over security fears in the quiet cul de sac now rocked by fear.
