SACKED Ipswich Town boss George Burley broke his silence today and said: "My successor will be getting one of the best jobs in the country."
Burley, who lost his job at Portman Road last week after eight years at the club, gave his first post-sacking interview from his parents' home in Scotland.
The one-time Blues and Scotland right-back, who cleared his desk last Friday morning, said: "Saturday was strange for me, so strange. For the first time on a Saturday since 1971 I didn't have anything to do. It was a very funny feeling. I was lost."
