Emergency services were called to Christchurch Park in Ipswich today amid fears someone had fallen through ice covering a pond.
Park rangers discovered footprints across the ice over the round pond at lunchtime.
They led to a hole in the layer, prompting worries a park visitor had fallen into the bitterly cold water.
However, it appears somebody fell through the ice yesterday but was able to pull themselves free without harm.
