A MAN had to be stretchered out of a first-floor window today before being taken to hospital.
A MAN had to be stretchered out of a first-floor window today before being taken to hospital.
Firefighters were called to a property in Oakes Road, Bury St Edmunds, at around 1.30pm.
They placed the man on a stretcher and lowered him down with a turntable ladder.
A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said they had been asked by the man's GP to take him to the West Suffolk Hospital.
