AN INFERNO destroyed 60 acres of crops in Cratfield, near Halesworth, today.
More than 40 fire fighters took two hours to tackle the blaze in Laxfield Road just after 3 pm.
Crews attended from Stradbroke, Halesworth, Leiston, Bungay, Eye, Debenham, Southwold and Framlingham.
