The 31-year-old was a passenger of a van which was in collision with an ambulance on the A11 at Red Lodge, near Newmarket, on Monday.

The ambulance was attending an accident in which a 14-year-old boy was killed as he tried to cross the busy dual carriageway.

Lee Flack, of Magnolia Close, Red Lodge, may have tripped on his shoelaces before the fatal collision with a car. Four people were taken to hospital after the horrific accident.

They included two passengers and the driver of the van which was involved in the subsequent collision with the ambulance.

The driver of the car which was in collision with the teenager was taken to hospital with head injuries, but they were not thought to be serious.
