AN Inquest into the death of a 86-year-old man on a Suffolk road has been opened and adjourned, police announced today. A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said the “paper exercise” at the Coroner's Office in Shire Hall Bury St Edmunds took place at about 3.30pm.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said the “paper exercise” at the Coroner's Office in Shire Hall Bury St Edmunds took place at about 3.30pm.
She said the inquest was open and adjourned into the death of Ernest Edward Rowlands of North Walsham Caravan Park, North Walsham, in Norfolk.
Mr Rowlands had been involved in a road traffic collision on May 7 this year on the A143 at Great Barton, near Bury St Edmunds, his death was confirmed by West Suffolk Hospital later that day.
