A car mechanic died after being struck by an oncoming train at Trimley St Mary in September, an inquest has heard.
Assistant Suffolk coroner Kevin McCarthy opened an inquest into the death of Stuart Hedley, 34, last week.
He confirmed the medical cause of death as multiple injuries sustained in a collision with a train.
The hearing was opened and adjourned until February 2017.
