AN inquest into the death of murdered student Matthew Pyke has been opened and adjourned.
The hearing at Nottingham Coroner's Court today heard the 20-year-old died from multiple stab wounds.
The keen on-line gamer was found stabbed at his flat above The Orange Tree pub, North Sherwood Street, on September 19.
David Heiss, of Limburg, Germany, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is awaiting extradition from the country.
Today's inquest heard that his father William Pyke identified him to the police after attending Leicester Royal Infirmary.
It was adjourned by Notts Coroner Nigel Chapman and will be re-opened at a later date
