INVESTIGATIONS are continuing today into an accident in which a 30-year-old man plummeted 20 feet after falling through a rooftop skylight.The man, who has not been named, was taken by air ambulance to Ipswich Hospital suffering from suspected spinal injuries after paramedics found him unconscious on the concrete floor at TNT Logistics at Mendlesham Industrial Estate on Tuesday.

INVESTIGATIONS are continuing today into an accident in which a 30-year-old man plummeted 20 feet after falling through a rooftop skylight.

The man, who has not been named, was taken by air ambulance to Ipswich Hospital suffering from suspected spinal injuries after paramedics found him unconscious on the concrete floor at TNT Logistics at Mendlesham Industrial Estate on Tuesday.

When doctors found suspected brain injuries, it is understood he was taken toAddenbrooke's Hospital, in Cambridge.

Officials at the Health and Safety Executive, the body responsible for ensuring safe working conditions at work, said they had been informed about the incident.

A spokesman for TNT Logistics confirmed that one of their employees had suffered a fall and was taken to hospital for treatment.

"In keeping with TNT's commitment to ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, a detailed internal investigation has been initiated. It would be inappropriate to comment further until our investigation has been concluded," she said

TNT Logistics is still trading under its former name of Taylor Barnard until April 1. It has been part of TNT for the past 18 months.
