Ipswich: Almost 20 cars damaged in Christmas period with wing mirrors and paintwork targeted

Between Christmas Eve and Boxing Day police had reports of 18 vehicles being damaged in Ipswich.

Four cars were damaged on Christmas Eve in Stratford Road between 4.30pm and 6pm. Three had wing-mirrors damaged with the other suffering scratches to its paintwork and its wiper blades being broken.

Three or four people in dark clothing were seen in the area around the time.

Ten cars were then damaged between 5pm and 9pm on the same day with all having their wing-mirrors damaged. Two incidents happened in Lovetofts Drive, five in Swinburne Road, two in Waterford Road and one in Burke Road.

Four further cars had their wing mirrors damaged between 4pm on Christmas Day and 10am on Boxing Day.

Two incidents happened in Waterford Road, one in Swinburne Road and one in Kildare Avenue.
