An Ipswich businessman played host to the Prince Michael of Kent on his Dunkirk Little Ship.

To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the evacuation of Dunkirk, Tim Dansie, a director in the Ipswich branch of estate agents, Jackson-Stops and Staff, sailed across the Channel in his Little Ship, Stenoa, with his wife Mary Anne and their two children.

Prince Michael of Kent, the Honorary Admiral for The Association of Dunkirk, travelled with the flotilla and joined the festivities in Dunkirk where more than 50 Little Ships gathered to mark the anniversary.

Prince Michael dined on Stenoa along with the Commodore and Vice Commodore of the Association of Dunkirk Little Ships.

Mr Dansie said: “Stenoa has taken part in the celebrations every five years since 1965, but this trip will be particularly special and hold especially poignant memories for us as a result of this momentous lunch.”
